I'm a fourth year Undergraduate at Edinburgh University studying Pharmacology Honours. One of the electives that I have chosen this year is 'Appetite and Obesity' in which we are expected to create web-page with an encyclopedic format on an assigned topic. The topic which we will be researching is melanocortins and it relevance in relation to appetite. The article will hopefully address the maijor issues that concern the effects of melanocortins on the regulation of appetite. Exploring their roles and discussing their potential as targets to help treat the global obesity problem.
