Molecular genetics student at edinburgh university Interests cover microbiology, genetics and molecular biology Intending to author the page on Brochothrix thermosphacta, future pages may include sequencing and genomics, molecular genetics and biotechnology related pages. Epigenetics is of particular interest to me, so i intend to author the epigenetics page to include DNA methylation, histone modifications, ChIP assays, MBD proteins, chromatin remodelling complex and the different levels of RNA gene control. i also intend to create pages on epigenetic diseases(predominantly cancer and hereditary diseases) and drugs targeting epigenetic effects, mainly inhibitors of DNA methyltransferases and Histone deacetylases.
