Lee Altenberg is an Associate Professor in the Dept. of Information and Computer Sciences at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. His research area is mathematical population genetics and evolutionary computation. He received his B.A. in Genetics from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1980, and his doctorate in Biological Sciences from Stanford University in 1985. He is Chair of the Native Hawaiian Plant Society, Maui, and Assoc. Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation and of BioSystems.
