For my day job, I work for the Commonwealth of Virginia at the Virginia Information Technologies Agency. We call it VITA (pronounced VEE-ta). Within VITA I work in the Information Technology Investments and Enterprise Solutions (ITIES) directorate in the Policy, Practice and Architecture (PPA) division. My title is Enterprise Architect. Right now I am involved with developing, editing, publishing the Enterprise Information Architecture for the Commonwealth. It is modeled after the Federal Data Reference Model. I am also involved with several Telework committes and a Pandemic Flu Preparedness committee for our agency. If you are interested in EA and what we are doing, visit our home page here.
