The edit summary is supposed to clear with each edit, on the theory that each edit should have its own summary '''of what the edit changed'''.  Not that everyone always puts one there, but each time you click edit, we save the entire page and put a line in the article history (which is why the edit summary clears.  Also, please submit bug reports to [mailto:[email protected] [email protected]] instead of tossing them up on the wiki.  Thanks, and happy editing!  --[[User:ZachPruckowski|ZachPruckowski]] 19:50, 25 January 2007 (CST)

Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start, and see Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, our help system and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forum is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any user or the editors for help, too. Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun! Excellent bio by the way, Charlie! --Larry Sanger 17:00, 25 January 2007 (CST)

bug report

The edit summary is supposed to clear with each edit, on the theory that each edit should have its own summary of what the edit changed. Not that everyone always puts one there, but each time you click edit, we save the entire page and put a line in the article history (which is why the edit summary clears. Also, please submit bug reports to [email protected] instead of tossing them up on the wiki. Thanks, and happy editing! --ZachPruckowski 19:50, 25 January 2007 (CST)
