Joseph K. Grieboski
 
As a young American who surveyed the political landscape and recognized the need for a greater voice for religion in the policymaking process, Joseph K. Grieboski founded the Institute on Religion and Public Policy in 1999. In a very short time, he transformed the Institute into a major force in both domestic and international affairs, creating for both himself and the Institute a well-respected international reputation. 
 
An expert in the role of religion in politics and American public life, Grieboski brings a wide and varied range of experience to his role as Founder and President of the Institute on Religion and Public Policy. With extensive experience in American politics, international affairs, national security, and inter-religious issues, Grieboski provides a unique commentary on America's history, politics, the lives of the American people, and America’s place in the international system.
 
Prior to founding the Institute, Grieboski held leadership posts in both the public and private sectors, and has multifaceted experience in high-level political, diplomatic, and religious activity. He currently serves as Founder and Secretary General, Interparliamentary Conference on Human Rights and Religious Freedom; Founder and Chairman, International Consortium on Fundamental Rights; American Delegate and Member of the Council of Experts, Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions; Member of the National Board of Directors, Delta Phi Epsilon National Professional Foreign Service Fraternity; Member of the Steering Committee; Vice Chair of the Board of Directors, Asian Commission for Justice and Development; Member of the Board, Committee for a Responsible Defense;  Member, Board of Advisors, American Family Coalition of Pennsylvania; and Member, Committee on Religious Liberty of the National Council of Churches; Member, Editorial Board, China Law and Religion and Monitor; Member, Board of Directors, Project 30.
 
Grieboski has lectured for the Close Up Foundation, the National Youth Leadership Forum on Defense, Intelligence, and Diplomacy, and the Washington Semester Program on Peace and Conflict Resolution at American University.  Grieboski has also served as a faculty member of the Boston University Institute on Religion and World Affairs (IRWA) Seminar "Religion and Democracy." Aside from his work on religious issues, Grieboski is president of GAE, LLP, a consulting firm focusing on political, foreign policy, and national security issues. Grieboski investigated a run for the United States House of Representatives in 2002.
 
Grieboski has expressed his views and expertise on national and international radio, television, print, Internet media, at international conferences, and on several occasions before the United States Congress. Grieboski is a regular panelist on the TV talk-show Passion for Truth.  A contributor to academic, religious, and political journals and magazines, Grieboski holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Foreign Service and a Master's in National Security Studies, both from Georgetown University.
