John Q. Lariviere, husband, dad and grandpa, is currently Great Lakes Regional Director for Legatus International (www.legatus.org). He has business leadership experience in the telecommunications, manufacturing, and financial services industries and brings a unique and upbeat perspective to life.
Prior to his involvement with Legatus, Mr. Lariviere served as the Strategic Partnership Marketing Director for AT&T Consumer Communications and as Marketing Director for AT&T Consumer Video Services. Additionally, Mr. Lariviere served as International Project Manager for AT&T Global Markets.
After years at AT&T, Mr. Lariviere served as President of Marsven Inc. and as a member of the Executive Committee of Marsven Belgium, where he lead the development of North and Central American start-up companies. He has worked on successful business projects within the US, Mexico, Honduras, Belgium, France, Ireland, Poland, and Japan.
Mr. Lariviere has served on the boards of eleven companies and used his practical and theoretical marketing skills in his role as Adjunct Professor of Marketing at Fairleigh Dickinson University, where he taught MBA students marketing concepts, strategic planning, buyer behavior, and market research (Fall 2002 – Spring 2005). For the past two years, the demands of business travel have interrupted his teaching avocation.
Publications include: 1) Focal Telescope Instruction Book, “Journey to the Stars;” and Focal Microscope Instruction Book, “Introducing a Micron World,” both printed in the USA by S.S. Kreske Co., Detroit MI; and, 2) Company Proprietary market plans for AT&T and Marsven, Inc.
