Background: | |||
I started my career in the field of software engineering where I have forged | |||

Eventually, I found myself moving towards the field of linguistics, both | |||

Toronto International Film Festival and Real Asian Film Festival), anime | |||
clubs and other private individual film companies. I have also done | |||
translation and editing work for all kinds of printed and online material. | |||
On the more humanistic side, I have taught English as a Foreign Language, | |||
professionally and as a volunteer, in Hong Kong, Japan and Canada, imparting | |||
the skill of communication in English, while picking up and perfecting my | |||
linguistic skills in Chinese, Japanese and French through my students and | |||
the experience there. | |||
I started the path of life-long education at Diocesan Girls' School, one of | |||
the most prestigious schools in Hong Kong that put heavy emphasis on proper | |||
use of the English language, among other things. After which I obtained a | |||
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the University of Waterloo, Canada, | |||
where I also focused on Psychology and Languages. I currently reside in | |||
Montreal, Canada, where I am working towards a certification for teaching in | |||
English. | |||
