Revision as of 15:06, 3 May 2011
I hereby propose the following referendum to given to the Management Council for inclusion in the elections of June 2011.
Any member of the Management Council or Editorial Council may resign at any time for any reason. The resignation may be made publicly or privately to the Councils. The resignation becomes effective the moment that the Chair of the Management Council or the Secretary of the Editorial Council accepts the resignation and announces the acceptance of the resignation in the official Council Forums. The moment that a resignation is formalized in that manner, that office is thereby vacant and must be filled according to the Charter.
If eventually ratified by the Citizenry, this text would then become Article 29.3, ie, the third item under the general Article in which "All official posts shall be subject to the following conditions:"
According to the Charter, we need the sponsorship of 10 Citizens to propose referenda. I am one. I now need nine more. Please show your accord with this by adding four tildes in the usual fashion to one of the lines below. Please do not even consider changing the text of this proposal—no one else to this point has thought to propose a referendum in the prescribed manner and I think that as a courtesy to both me and my ability to compose the English language, that you should evaluate this proposal exactly as it is written, not as how you yourself might prefer to frame it.
Potential sponsors might be interested in the forum thread where this referendum was first proposed.
Thank you for your support!
