I am junior researcher at the Biogeochemical Model-Data Integration Group at the Max-Planck-Institute for Biogeochemistry Jena in Germany.

My interests are to contribute to the understanding of the global biogeochemical processes. Currently, I am working on integration of microbial perspectives in simple of degradation of organic compounds, i.e. plant litter, in soil.

I earned my PhD in natural science at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena, Germany, in Mai 2008. The project was about modelling the carbon balance of managed forest ecosystem in Central Germany.

I graduated at the Technical University Dresden Germany with major subject computer science and minor subject geography.
