I am an English teacher (high school) in Old Tappan, New Jersey. Formerly, I was a tennis instructor, and still take great interest in the game, as a coach and tennis writer and historian. Unfortunately, there are very few venues for serious tennis scholarship/history out there, what with the unfortunate demise of Tennis Week and other publications that died out in favor of more glossy magazines featuring superficial photography, glitz, and very little substance.
