Eugene Marshall received his Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin in Madison in December of 2006, where he wrote on the problem of weakness of will in Spinoza, under the guidance of Steve Nadler. His interests include primarily the history of modern philosophy, but also ancient philosophy, 19th century German philosophy, and certain issues in moral psychology. He has articles forthcoming in The British Journal for the History of Philosophy and Oxford Studies in Early Modern Philosophy.

He is currently a visiting assistant professor of philosophy at Dartmouth College.
