Now residing in Canada, Helene Cazes received her training (literature, Classics, Renaissance Studies) in Paris. A specialist for European Renaissance literature, she is working on the notion of reception of texts: fortune, posterity, vulgarization, readings, but also self-fashioning, deformations, erasures, historiographical bias, connotative and cumulative meanings brought to the Classics etc. All this leads to studies on Humanism and on the History of the Book. Unable to quit being curious, she likes to skip above disciplinary or chronological frontiers and occasionally writes on modern French literature. Interested by the links between meanings and media, she has followed with passion the new collaborative and experiences for writing down knowledge.
