Kirby McDaniel was born in Beaumont, Texas December 9, 1946. He grew up in Beaumont and graduated from high school there in 1965. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degreee in Radio-Television-Film from the University of Texas at Austin in December, 1971. He worked at odd jobs in the phonograph record retail sales industry in high school and college and in 1972 joined the staff of KUT-FM, the NPR affiliate in Austin, Texas, as a music librarian and annnouncer. He produced the show ROCK OF AGES which aired on Sunday nights on KUT for several years. In 1976 he joined the staff of High Fidelity, Incorporated selling high-end audio gear. In 1979 he started his own company, MovieArt Original Film Posters. Today he sells vintage film posters from the company headquatered in Austin, Texas.
