Patrick S. Malone, Ph.D., holds a B.S. in Psychology from Duke University and Ph.D. in Social Psychology, with a strong minor in Research Methods and Statistics, from the University of Texas at Austin. Most of his career to date has been spent at Duke University, first as visiting faculty in psychology and, since 1996, in various research positions, most recently as a Research Scientist in Duke's Center for Child and Family Policy.

Patrick Malone is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of South Carolina. In this position, he focuses on the development and application of sophisticated data analytic methods for social science research, and is teaching classes in social psychology at the undergratudate level.
