PDF - I'd like to see this enabled for uploading on the wiki. It would be nice to host overviews of copyright law, etc.  —Stephen Ewen (Talk) 15:11, 14 September 2007 (CDT)

Well, until we do, just mail PDFs to me. --Larry Sanger 10:09, 15 September 2007 (CDT)

We should look into other web-based formats other than PDF. I particulary enjoy PDF for it's functionality but if we can find another way to natively integrate documents into CZ then it would be to our advantage when it comes time to actually introduce them. --Robert W King 10:31, 15 September 2007 (CDT)
Yes, I'm partial to HTML and MediaWiki myself.  ;-) And it doesn't matter at all whether these essays live elsewhere or not, or are in another format. The point is simply to create a collection of essays. They don't have to be hosted by us. --Larry Sanger 09:35, 17 September 2007 (CDT)
See http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Images_and_other_uploaded_files#Supported_file_types for a discussion on how to enable other files types. This would be very easy to turn on for CZ... Eric M Gearhart
I'm working on a list of file extensions i think we should enable. Stephen Ewen 11:22, 22 October 2007 (CDT)

Collaborate?

Anyone (or several) game to co-author an essay pro-non-commercial?  —Stephen Ewen (Talk) 11:48, 17 September 2007 (CDT)

Blog criticism

Interested parties may or may not wanting to read and/or respond to this blog posting criticising Citizendium and its debate over licensing. John Stephenson 09:49, 22 October 2007 (CDT)

It's just silly--the conclusion is false and the argument for it is obviously invalid. --Larry Sanger 10:34, 22 October 2007 (CDT)

Decision making

As I become more interested in Citizendium, I've been trying to learn more, and I stumbled on this collection of essays.

A lot of serious thought seems to have been put into the license essays, and a lot of time and effort too. Nearly every substantial point that could be made seems to have been covered. But there seems to be no information anywhere on the most significant fact: How will the actual decision be made? Would be nice to know. Seth (Avi) Kadish 10:44, 10 November 2007 (CST)

Dr. Sanger will ultimately make this decision himself a week or so from now after a great deal of careful consideration and soliciting input. Stephen Ewen 12:58, 10 November 2007 (CST)

Today's the 15th!

Any news? --Robert W King 22:21, 15 November 2007 (CST)

The decision has been delayed till Monday, according to this mail from Larry. -- Jitse Niesen 08:41, 16 November 2007 (CST)
