Since 1968 I’ve held various nursing & counseling positions in RI & Massachusetts, these include: medical-surgical and operating room staff nurse; director of a geriatric care facility, psychiatric charge nurse at a V.A. Hospital; and over the last 24 years, private practice working with individuals, couples, families, and groups. I am in private practice in Providence, RI at The Homeopathic Center of Southern New England, which I co-founded in 2003 with Mark Brody, MD.
I have authored various nursing journal articles and two chapters in a book. Presently, I serve in adjunct faculty positions with Bristol Community College in Massachusetts and with Drexel University in Philadelphia in the graduate program in Complementary and Integrative Therapies, and a tutor with The British Institute of Homeopathy.
I hold an RN from RI Hospital, a BS in Social &Health Services from Roger Williams University, an MA in Counseling Education from the University of RI, a DIHom. (Diploma in Homeopathy) and DHM (postgraduate diploma in Homeopathic Medicine), and a Fellowship with the British Institute of Homeopathy. I have training in neurolinguistics, hypnotherapy, meditation, stress & psychosomatic disorders, Reiki, magnet therapy and Tong Ren therapy. I hold board certification in Psychiatric & Mental Health Nursing, Holistic Nursing, and Homeopathy and am the former RI State Coordinator, currently Homeopathic Networker, for The American Holistic Nurses Association, former Secretary/Treasurer and Vice President, and now immediate Past President of The Homeopathic Nurses Association.
