I am an English teacher by vocation and a world traveler by avocation. I have spent 12 years teaching writing, rhetoric, and literature at the high school and university level. My BS in English education and MA in creative nonfiction both come from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.

My interests include sociology, the effects of technology, urban planning and transportation, geology, biology, astronomy, photography, and food. My official residence is in San Francisco, California, but I've been studying Spanish and traveling in South America for the past five months.
