I was born in 1964 in Lewistown, Montana. I attend various schools through Montana until graduating from Billings West High School. In 1979 I took a class on computer programming. It was the early years so we stared out with assembly on punch cards. In my Junior year I joined the Army Reserve. Shortly after highschool I moved to Tacoma, Washington and transferered to the Washington Army National Guard. I served for 7 years. Meanwhile my interest in computer programming persisted through the until I finally decide to make it a career in 1991 while attending Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. I was studying Mathematics. While at WWU I worked on a solar powered race car. I wrote the race optimization program. Shortly after that I moved to Seattle. I started in Seattle working for a company called Microrim which produced R:Base. The company didn't do so well. I began working at Microsoft in 1995. I continue to work there today.
