A specialist in engineering communication and education, Anne taught computer science and technical writing at the community college level for many years before returning to school to complete a Master's degree in Education. Anne's is beginning doctoral studies at Queen's University, with research interests in education for sustainable practice, and development of dialogic communication skills for mining engineers as a means of fostering respectful and mutually beneficial relationships between the mining industry and Indigenous peoples. She is interested in the use of second-generation wikis in education and professional communities and in the study of traditional ecological knowledge as a means of facilitating cross-cultural dialogue.
