I am a computer professional with over twenty-five years of experience. I started with IBM mainframe computers, moved to microcomputers/PCs, and am currently working with web development. I hold several professional certifications including CDP, CCP, and CSP. Most of my career has been spent in consulting with businesses, non=profits, and government organizations. In addition to my full-time job, I have a small business, Kelso Web Services, which provides web site design, hosting, and maintenance for small (very small) businesses and non-profits.

I majored in history in college (with a special emphasis on British history). I continue my interest in history by reading, writing articles, and visiting historic sites. While my initial interest was primarily in Medieval British history, I have over the last few decades come to find the study of Scottish history and culture my primary interest. I am an elected Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries Scotland.

I have been politically active since the 1960’s mostly in the Democratic Party. I have held positions within the Party at the local, Congressional District, State, and National levels. I have been a precinct chair in the City of Richmond Virginia in addition to chairing several committees. I was a member of the 3rd Congressional District Committee and held the offices of Treasurer, Vice Chair, and Chair. I was a member of the Virginia State Central Committee. I was a Democratic Elector Bill Clinton and a National Delegate to the Chicago Democratic convention in 1996. I was a Foreign Election Observer for the U S State Department in Albania in 1996.
