I am a retired physicist and computer scientist, having spent most of my working life with the University of California at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and the Livermore branch of the Davis Campus. I am one of the chief architects of the Livermore Laboratory's Octopus computer network. I have taught physics, mathematics, and computer science courses at the graduate level. I hold a B.S. from the George Washington University and a Ph.D. from Princeton University, both in physics. I also have a strong interest in the philosophy of science.
