I'm a computer programmer at the Gallaudet Research Institute (GRI), part of Gallaudet University. Computers I have known and loved - or hated - include the Xerox Data Systems (XDS) Sigma 7 (CP-5) and Sigma 9 (CP-6), Wang 2200A, Data General Nova III, IBM 360, Digital Equipment Corporation's PDP-11 (RSX-11) and DECsystem-10 (TOPS-10), VAX (VMS), Commodore Amiga 3000, PC (Linux), and Apple Macintosh (OS X). I hold a B.S. in Audio Technology, though most of my knowledge and experience has been with computers. I've been at Gallaudet nearly 30 years. In my other life I volunteer with a group of very bright high school students writing programs in Python, often for the Zope system. I also like to bicycle, and occasionally play flutes and other whistles. I used to unicycle (reasonably well), and juggle (badly).
