Mauricio right now studies Mass Communications at the Universidad Iberoamericana and will graduate in Mexico around 2012 after several stand by. He spent the past two years working for La Nación newspaper as freelancer journalist.

Mauricio also was employed by La Nación, La Crónica, Venezuela Analítica; Semanario, AM, Etcétera, Razón y Palabra, Global Media as well as journalist. He worked in the Canal 15 for two years and polished up his journalism skills working for Universidad de Costa Rica.

After four years professional experience Mauricio felt inclined to explore Public Diplomacy on a personal level and plans to took a Postgraduate Degree in International Relations. This year of fascinating studies and challenging tuition gave Mauricio the confidence to work independantly as freelance.

Since graduating in July 2003 from High School at The American School of Durango Mauricio worked on projects such as TV AZTECA.

Mauricio’s Costa Rican Nationality, Mexican upbringing, and many years in Mexico have enabled him to be trilingual, he is fluent in English, French, and Spanish. He currently resides in León, Guanajuato where he continues to freelance and is picking up Mandarin. Outside of work, Mauricio travels as much as possible, surfs, attends fairs – mostly for the junk food, watches nature shows and gets obsessed with books. If you think he’s a nerd, you are absolutely right.

Born in Mexico City he speaks fluent English and carries a Costa Rican passport, but having grown up in Santo Domingo de Heredia, Costa Rica he knows good BBQ and holds the distinction of being a Costa Rican Heredian.
