I'm a researcher working in pure mathematics at the University of Newcastle for a PhD degree. I obtained a MMath(Hons) in Pure Mathematics from the University of St Andrews and a MSc(R) in Research in Algebra from the University of Glasgow.

Research interests include group and semigroup theory, formal language theory and decision problems, and fractal geometry.

In my spare time, I play the bass guitar and guitar - mainly blues, jazz and electronic music.
