I am Pieter Kuiper, a Dutch physicist, now living in Sweden, teaching at Växjö University.
I was born 1960, studied physics and some biology at the University of Groningen in The Netherlands. I also did my PhD work there (supervisor George Sawatzky), about the high Tc superconductors, and defended my thesis in 1990. I then spent three years as a postdoc at Brookhaven National Laboratory, doing experiments at the National Synchrotron Light Source. I then returned to Europa, to work as a research assistant at Uppsala University on x-ray emission spectroscopy. I am a "docent" of Uppsala University.
I have been a lecturer at Växjö University since 2000.
